Paper lady

If you're looking for me tonight, I'll be the lady going around the gym with a paper and a plan.
Part of my workout goal this year is to go in to the gym with a plan so I don't wander around aimlessly wondering what to do next.  Well, I thought I'd give you an idea as to what one of my "plans" looks like.  This is what I'm going to do tonight...
After doing a 10 minute warm-up on the elliptical and stretching I will proceed to do the following:
In between each exercise in a set, I like to have an exercise that boosts my heart rate and keeps me sweating.  I try to make them so they're not working exactly the same muscles as the exercise preceding or following it that way I actually get to let the muscles I just worked "rest" while keeping my heart pumping and calories burning.  Push ups and planks are really hard for me, so while they don't seem as "intense" as jumping jacks or mountain climbers, right now they still make me work really hard.  I'm probably just as out of breath doing those as mountain climbers.  I may change this up as I get in better shape, or do harder variations of them.
Since this time of year the gym is super busy, I usually have to move around my sets and do them out of order, but that's why I like to have a plan ahead of time.  I have my gym space and set up in mind when creating my little road map and try to take up as little of they gym as possible.  For example, there's a little space next to the lat pull down machine in my gym for me to do some exercises that need floor space.  The lat pull down machine also has a neat little bench so I plan do do my Bulgarian Leg thingies(or maybe you call them single leg raised lunges or whatever) on there as well.  That whole set is planned around that gym space.  I try to be considerate unlike the stupid guy that sits on the bench or machine he's using in between sets and watches youtube videos or texts his friends.  He's so annoying.
uh oh... begin rant....
He also chews gum like a mad man.  The wad of gum is so big it just might be an entire package of bubbilicious gum, no joke.  I like bubbilicious as much as the next person, but I'm not about to shove 5 pieces in my mouth and proceed to get myself out of breath.  That's a health hazard.  This guy will probably spend a good 2 hours in the gym and waste 1-1/2 hours of it.  He drives me up the wall.  He just takes up space!  He'll sit on the bench to do his little chest press exercise and then proceed to sit there for 5 minutes after bent over his phone taking up space.  Then he'll get up and go to the bathroom or bubbler and come back expecting his bench to be free when he gets back.  There are 2 benches in the gym, (3 if you count the lat pull down machine half bench that I've grown accustomed to because 1 is always being used by him and the other one is left for everyone else to use on a rotation) get off and text somewhere else!  If he's not staking claim on the bench he's claiming the cable machine, or the leg press, or whatever else you want to use.  I swear he sees me do 1 set of something on a machine before he decides to use that machine for the duration of the night.  So frustrating.   Plus, HE STINKS! He smells reeeeeeeeal bad!

OK,
So now you know what I do in the gym!
What does your typical work out look like?  Do you find yourself doing the same things because you're comfortable with certain equipment or are you all over the place?  Do you have a plan or do you do what feels right?

I never run with Scissors.

Those last two words were unnecessary.

Well hellooooo there!  Nice of you to join me.  As I approach the new year and I'm trying to figure out what my exercise plan is I'm perusing Pinterest and finding a bunch of goodies.  I thought I'd share two workout calendars that I found on my Quest.  But first.... this seems appropriate.  I just love these stinkin little e-gems that make you laugh.  I can't get enough.

So funny!!!

Ahhhhh, I feel better now....

Anyway, on to the healthy stuff...

I follow Daily Hiit/Body Rock on Pinterest and they post a lot of good stuff!  The two calendars below are posts from them.  They might be useful for you too!  If you visit the links I provide below, it gives you a breakdown and you might find some helpful tips and instructions there too!

The calendar below progresses so as you get better at Pushups/Squats/Burpees, etc... Your reward is more Pushups/Squats/Burpees, etc! Exciting, right?  (I need a sarcasm font right about now.)  But seriously, with where I am at right now (sedentary) something like this looks like it's doable!  I can barely do 10 push ups right now, and doing 50 push ups seems impossible, but MAYBE I can make it by the end of the month!  Check it out!  <-- Here's the link, or you can see below.

Here is another calendar for those of you that find being upright and bouncy is more your style.  If I can get off the ground after doing the exercises above, maybe I can join you for these.  Who doesn't want to Jump the Juggle off?
